Terminating, or splicing rope, is a superior rope finishing method that allows you to retain all the rope strength that can be lost in standard terminations. Tying a knot at the end of the rope is the most common and simple form of rope termination, however, knotting is only effective for certain jobs and may deteriorate and fail if they're applied in the wrong situation.

Whereas knots can reduce a rope's strength by around 30%, splicing has a negligible effect on rope and may only result in a 10% loss in your rope's strength at most. So, if knots aren't cutting it, or the appearance of your knot termination is too ugly, bulky or impractical, it's time to consider a more robust and reliable rope end solution. This is where splicing comes in...

From hard eye to soft eye, back splices to Brummel splices and much more. Every rope splicing option serves a vitally important purpose, with minimal hindrance on your rope performance and maximum efficacy as a line stopper, a loop or rope eye and even in joining two ropes together - a few brilliant solutions for rope finishing in nautical, arborist, rigging and similar environments.
